Served every rank of the Burke County Sheriff’s Office - over a 32-year career
32 Years’ Experience Serving the Citizens of Burke County with the Sheriff’s Office
Currently serving on the Board of Directors for Option, Inc, with two years as Vice President.
Currently serving on the Case Review Committee for LEAD (Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion).
Currently serving on Burke County’s Local Emergency Planning Committee.
Currently serving on Burke County’s Safety Committee.

Continue to build strong relationships between the Sheriff’s Office and the communities that we serve.

Better Benefits and Technology
Work closely with other county leaders in an effort to provide our deputies and detention officers with the most current equipment and technology to aid in the performance of their duties.

Better Pay, Recruiting, & Retention
Advocate for increased pay for our Sheriff’s Office staff in order to increase employee recruitment and retention.

Protect Our Community
Work closely with the District Attorney’s Office to prosecute drug traffickers and dealers, while using programs like LEAD (Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion) to help low level drug offenders and users get off of drugs.

I have been married to my lovely wife Renee for 29 years and we share two sons, Casey who is 22 years old and Charlie who is 13 years old.
